iRULE FASHiON KiDS DONATiON - 4TH ANNUAL DONATION
iFKD 4TH ANNUAL DONATION REPORT (2023)
The iRULE FASHiON KiDS DONATiON (iFKD) is a non-profit charitable initiative under iRULE FASHiON, which is a fashion brand and division of iRULE BUSiNESS.
It's main aim is to support underprivileged children. Especially, children on the street and those at the hospital. It's operations and projects are funded with a portion of profits made from the sale of iRULE FASHiON merchandise in a year as well as funds from generous donors who love giving to the needy.
On 30/12/23, the 4th annual donation was executed by members of the iRULE BUSiNESS team.
The initial plan was to donate to underprivileged children at Mamprobi Hospital (MPH). Upon our arrival at the hospital's kids ward, most children had been discharged and the rest referred to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
Actually, the kids ward was empty because it's a new ward and only accommodates few kids.
The team moved to KBTH's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) right away for the donation. A nurse on duty named Ms. Sandra Boanyah was spoken to and she selected two children (Baba Fuseini and Ishmael Nartey) who's parents really needed support in settling their kid's hospital bills.
The first child we donated to was Baba Fuseini. He was referred from the northern region of Ghana for surgery at KBTH. He was brought to the hospital by his mum. The surgery had been done successfully and needed funds to payoff the bills. iFKD supported him with an amount of ₵500. Fuseini and his mum were reassured that things would get better.

The other child we donated to was Ishmael Nartey. He was been prepared for inguinal hernia surgery as at the time we reached KBTH. His parents weren't around because they had gone home to gather funds. iFKD supported him with an amount of ₵500 as well. The nurse on duty received the funds on his behalf. Some days later, we received a call from Ishmael Nartey's mum indicating that she received the funds from Nurse Sandra.
Right from KBTH, we went to two different locations within Accra. Rawlings park and Tudu Metro Mass & STC Bus Yard to share food to kids on the street and also to kids of the porters. At every location we got to, we ensured that all underprivileged kids around were served. Most parents received the food we served on behalf of their children to feed them.
The targeted amount of money for the donation was ₵5,000. The amount would have covered food, water, clothes and also payment of hospital bills for five children and we were able to raise a sum of ₵2,500. This means we can't execute the exact plan for the donation. However, the amount raised was used efficiently by the team.
EXPENDITURE & REQUISITION FOR SUBSEQUENT DONATIONS
Kindly find below a breakdown of how funds were used. A balance of ₵11.00 was left.
Hospital bills for two children at Korle-Bu PICU - ₵1000.00
50 packs of fried rice from Chef Solo's Events & Catering Services - ₵750.00
Food joints willing to partner with us for the sake of the donation can donate food to us for free or at a very reduced cost to support this kind initiative so we can reach more beneficiaries.
Renting of camera for coverage of the donation - ₵300.00
Cash spent on media coverage can be avoided when we have a camera or a smart phone with good camera quality. We therefore seek support from anyone who can help us in this regard so that during subsequent donations, cash spent on media coverage will go directly into the actual donation in order to reach more beneficiaries.
Transportation to the printing press, Mamprobi Hospital, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Chef Solo Restaurant, Rawlings Park and Accra Tudu - ₵150.00
We'd be glad to have a vehicle that will support us in moving around during donations. A personal private car from an individual/company or a car from a ride-hailing company will greatly be of help to us. This will enable us direct transportation budget to the actual cause.
Food and water for a team of five - ₵160.00
Designing and printing of two donation certificates - ₵60.00
Paid Facebook Advertisement for the donation - ₵69.00
