Ghana was gripped by a shocking and disturbing story involving Dr. Sri Ram Yogi Beckley, a medical practitioner and an occultist who was famously referred to as Dr. Berkley. He lived behind high walls that concealed his activities from prying eyes. He earned a notorious reputation during the 80'sand 90's as there were allegations of him kidnapping young school children and women for sacrificial rituals. Death took my happiness away || X-IDENTITY (xID)

My mother suffered from a rare congenital heart disease called restrictive cardiomyopathy. It started to make her really sick in February of 2013. In March she was scheduled for a surgery what would help to keep her heart in sinus rhythm because she was going into Atrial fibrillation so often at this point. The night right before the procedure, I awoke to the sound of EMTS rushing up my stairs to my mom's room. She had suffered a severe stroke that left her with Broca's aphasia which made her not able to speak fluently but still being able to understand what others were saying and trouble with motor skills. It was a long road to recovery but eventually she was able to walk again, write and speak. It was all very depressing for her. However, and that took her vibrant personality away. I saw her every day, but still missed her so much that it hurt. She was frustrated because we couldn't understand what she was saying at most times and that left the house in constant tension. ...

How Jerry John Rawlings seized power and transitioned Ghana to democratic rule

Image
JERRY JOHN RAWLINGS COUPS & RESTORATION OF DEMOCRACY Jerry John Rawlings was born in Accra on 22 June 1947 to a Scottish farmer and a Ghanaian mother. He attended Achimota secondary school, where he excelled on the polo pitch. In 1968, he enrolled in the military academy at Teshie, near Accra, and was later sent to a flight training school. By the time Rawlings had been promoted to flight lieutenant in 1978, he had become politically active. Ghana, the first African country to become independent from Britain, was suffering food shortages, inflation and economic stagnation. Rawlings vented his anger at what he saw as the indiscipline, corruption and mismanagement of the military regime. Buoyed by this support, Rawlings launched his coup attempt in May 1979. It failed and he was arrested and sentenced to death. He escaped from jail by the help of junior officers and other ranks and overthrew the country's military leader, General Fred Akuffo. The AFRC had vowed to hold Ghana...

THE iRULE TEAM speaks on the need to ban money rituals and juju advertisements on TV and radio stations

Image
THE iRULE TEAM SPEAKS ON MONEY RITUALS & JUJU ADVERTISEMENTS Following the murder of a 10 year old boy (Ishmael Abdallah) by two teenagers at Kasoa for money rituals, we have taken it upon ourselves to campaign for the ban of money rituals and juju advertisements on televisions and radio stations.  This is so because we believe those teenagers who committed the act were somehow influenced by what they've seen on television (especially) or heard from a radio station even though there could be other ways.  This situation has raised many eyebrows and we are inclusive. We believe this is about human life so everyone should get involved in the campaign to end all forms of money rituals and juju advertisements, irrespective of the category of the industry we join or run.  As at now, THE iRULE TEAM is the only organization in Ghana still campaigning for the ban of both money rituals and juju advertisements on television and radio stations. With this opportunity, we therefo...
